The League Appreciation golf tournament is set for Sunday, October 28th at 1 p.m. The day includes 18 holes of golf with a cart and dinner after the tournament. Space is limited to 92 players so register for the event now.

Fred Medeiros knocked home three birdies on the way to a +9 to win the Monday League on September 10. Paul Landon also had a birdie during his round.

There were 52 players in action on September 11 and the winner was Jeff Chevelier with a +11. Following him were Bill Shaul +7, Chad Blackman +5 and Joe Ely +5, Greg Skellet as well as Rich Monsini all had +4. Birdies were recorded by Doug Blank (hole 3), Paul Landon (hole 6), Rich Bracchi (hole 9) and Chad Blackman knocked in a hole-in-one on the 11th hole.

Darren Gurry continues to lead the overall standings with a +31 with four weeks to go in the season. Trailing him are Steve Hart with a +28 while Andy Rosen, Andrew Brodeur and John Siever are all tied at +27. Tony Romano and Ben Parsons are one point back at +26.

There were 15 players in action on September 12 in Women’s League action. Winners of the Closest to the Pin competition were Janet Veracka (hole 4), Louise Doris (hole 7), Ann Pierce (hole 7), Linda Brown (hole 14) and Dale Connearny (hole 14). Louise Doris had a birdie and Joyce McCarthy had a chip-in.

There were 37 players in Thursday League action on September 13. Paul Landon won with a +13. Trailing him were Frank Hommel +9, Keith Reis +9, Rudy Cabral +5 and Roger LaGreca +5. Carding birdies were Bil MacNevin (hole 2), Frank Hommel (hole 4), Keith Reis (hole 8) and Richard Tavares (hole 14).

Paul Landon leads the overall standings with a +28. He is followed by Bill MacNevin +25, Bob Adams +25, Tom Donnelly +19, Jim Judge +19, Al Maughan +18, Tim O’Connor +18, Gary Machado +17 and Joe Stevens +17.

There was a field of 16 playing golf in the Best Ball format on September 19. The teams of Kathy Partridge, Gail Sim, Sandra Crossman, Helen Pickering and Michelle Smith, Beth Geary, Lee Guerin, Peggy Gould tied with a 44. Lydia Gilboy won the closest to the pin competition.
